MIKUMI / IFAKARA VILLAGE / UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS

Day 1: DAR ES SALAAM-MIKUMI:
After breakfast drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. Hot lunch at Morogoro Town, there after afternoon game drives in Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park is Tanzania's fourth – largest National Park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. Within its 3230 sq. km its set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the south-east. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons zebras, leopards, crocodiles and Hippos just to mention a few. Dinner and overnight at ANGALIA TENTED CAMP

Day 2 : MIKUMI-UDZUNGWA-IFAKARA KILOMBERO-UDZUNGWA Early breakfast then game drive in the park briefly, see the beauty of Mikumi national Park, see many animals like Elephant, Giraffe, wild dogs, Lions, Antelopes and many more till 0900am then drive to Udzungwa Mountains for check in at your hotel keep the luggage then proceed to Ifakara Kilombero Valley with your picnic lunch, its remote and offers a chance to experience rural Tanzanian life, as well as superb bird watching. Local fishermen cast their nets as you drift past in your canoe which is poled by an experienced guide, birds watch you warily, crocodiles slip from the river banks into the brown waters this is an extremely relaxing safari which allows you to enjoy the tranquility of Africa untouched by the encroaching modern world. Among the activities a dug-out canoe safari on the great Kilombero River. The dugout canoes have shade for adventure tourism safari best suited to those seeking an authentic Tanzanian village experience away from mainstream tourist areas. There after you will be transferred to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for dinner and overnight at UDZUNGWA FOREST CAMP / UDIZUNGWA FALLS LODGE

Day 3: UDZUNGWA / SANJE WATERFALL TRAIL / 7Kms 3-5Hours.
After early breakfast start trekking leads to the spectacular trail up to Sanje waterfalls. The most popular trail in Udzungwa is Sanje Waterfall. This 200m waterfall is very impressive surrounded by rainforest with excellent views over the Kilombero floodplain 180m. At the top, there are two more waterfalls, both impressive, and you can swim in the cool waters of their plunge pools. This trek can be done by an enthusiastic hiker in half a day, heading quickly up the escarpment and back down again. We usually recommend a more leisurely approach, heading up the mountain in the morning, taking lunch on the top of the waterfall with its breath-taking views of the valley, and taking time out to swim during the heat of the day.
Then you can follow the trail around the side of the escarpment and head back down the mountainside, in the evening back to hotel diner and overnight at the UDZUNGWA FOREST CAMP / UDZUNGWA FALLS LODGE

Day 4: UDZUNGWA MOUNTAINS / DAR ES SALAAM:
After breakfast you drive back to Dar es Salaam and enjoy your lunch at Morogoro Town. Arrival in Dar es Salaam late in the afternoon.
